Sree hoping to be fit for Eng series
Thursday 16 June 2011

Fiery Indian pacer Shanthakumaran Sreesanth has revealed that he should be fit for the England series scheduled to begin on the 21st of July. The 28-year-old was forced to sit out the West Indies tour due to an elbow injury, but Sree seems to have made enough progress to already announce his return to international cricket.

"I am sure I will be fit in time for the coming England tour," said Sreesanth.

The pacer has been training in Bengaluru to recover from an elbow injury and to regain some match fitness.

The swing bowler has prior experience of playing in England thanks to his experience of playing for Warwickshire county in 2009. And he'll be hoping to have the opportunity to have a go at the English batsmen.

Sreesanth was part of India’s World Cup-winning squad and also played the complete season for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the IPL, but pulled up after that with an elbow injury.
