The BCCI on Monday submitted names of two retired judges who could be requested to function as administrators to facilitate the smooth conduct of the IPL matches.
A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court — which comprised Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Shameem Akther — reserved orders in the miscellaneous petition filed by the BCCI to appoint an administrator or observer to oversee the functioning of the Hyderabad Cricket Association during the IPL.
The bench was dealing with a PIL writ petition filed by Govind Reddy, advocate and cricket player.
He had sought the intervention of the court to ensure that the HCA administration is streamlined with the recommendations of the Justice Lodha Committee.
The BCCI filed the miscellaneous petition, mentioning the current state of affairs in the HCA.
