Cairns appeal formalised in London
Lalit Modi has today formally launched appeal proceedings against the judgement in his libel case with former New Zealand cricket captain, Chris Cairns.
The paperwork for an appeal against the level of damages awarded and a request for permission to appeal the original judgement, were lodged with the Court Of Appeal in London. Last week, the High Court granted Lalit annulment of a bankruptcy order originally brought by an alleged creditor.
