Gauti hopes for favourable results
Sunday 02 October 2011

The Kolkata Knight Riders somehow kept their qualification hopes alive in the CLT20 after defeating the Warriors by 22 runs (D/L method) during therain-curtailed match in Bengaluru.

And KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir is hoping that the remaining group league matches produce favourable results so that his team can make it to the semi-finals of the Champions League Twenty20.

"It's always good to end up on a winning note. Now we have to wait for the results of the other matches," Gambhir said.

The India opener was all praise for his team's fielding and bowling.

"We did field well and Lee and Balaji bowled exceptionally well."

Warriors captain Johan Botha conceded that dropping both Gambhir and Kallis earlier on proved to be decisive.

"We didn't really field that way we should have. We have a match against Somerset left and we must do well against them."

Man of the match Collin Ingram said, "It's always nice to contribute but I am really disappointed with the end result."
