While tweeting about the toss update, the BCCI’s Twitter account erroneously wrote, “Welcome to the 1st T20I between India and Australia #INDvAUS #TeamIndia.”
However, those handling the account did not realise what mistake had been made previously, and they repeated the error in their next tweet. “1st Twenty20. Australia won the toss and chose to bat,” read the following tweet.
Even though the tweets were removed instantly, fans were quick to grab screenshots and share them on social media.

The final game of the series will be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) ground in Nagpur, on Sunday, October 1. The two teams will also play a three-match T20I series.
